Excerpts from Katarzyna Bonda's “Polish Murderesses”
“Polish Murderesses” [Polskie morderczynie] is the title of a book featuring a series of reportages written by crime fiction and non-fiction author Katarzyna Bonda. It comprises the stories of 14 women who share one common fact - they’re all killers. In many cases, the writer offered these women the very first opportunity to speak out on their own behalf. Some of the female convicts became well known to the general public in result of broadly covered sensational trials. Others committed mundane crimes in the confines of their own homes, landing them a short note in the papers.

An adaptation of the book rendered onstage by TERAZ POLIŻ presented the audience with the stories the likes of Małgorzata Połczyńska’s, a medical practitioner who murdered her lover’s wife, and Mirosława Romanowska’s, who killed her husband, a rapist.
