Following his release from prison, Freddy wants to start life anew in Miami. His plans quickly unravel, however, after he accidentally kills a young Krishna follower. His life is further complicated by a prostitute named Susie, who soon becomes an intrinsic part of his life. To make things worse, a gumshoe from the local police and a committed bachelor, Hoke Moseley, is on his trail.
